Well, as with most things in life, there are many possible reasons as to why your computer might be running slower than normal.
However, if you use the internet regularly, it is *almost certain* that the real reason your computer is running so slow is because it is infected with spyware and adware.
So What Is Spyware?
Spyware (aka Adware) is unwanted software which collects information about you without you knowing, and it is caught through *regular* use of the Internet.
Spyware can monitor your keystrokes, scan files on the hard drive, install other spyware programs and gather information about *your* email addresses, passwords and credit card numbers.
If you continue to use the Internet without an anti-spyware product, the number of infections vastly increases and they spread onto your computer extremely quickly.
More spyware gathering on your pc means that your computer is running slower and slower and will continue to do so as time goes on.
If you leave it too long, an overload of spyware can actually cause your computer to shutdown and stop working altogether.
*How Do I Remove Spyware From My Computer?*
Spyware *cannot* be removed with an Anti-Virus product.
This is because the software see's the spyware on your computer as a 'safe and trustworthy file' as it has been programmed to only detect viruses.
For this exact reason, Anti-Spyware software was produced to remove all of these infections, resulting in an vast increase in personal security for the user.
Furthermore, when the spyware is destroyed, the performance and speed of your computer improves significantly.
You will notice that your computer will run much more quickly and efficiently than before.
So, my answer to the question: "Why is my computer running so slow" would be:
It is because of Spyware infections currently lurking on your computer, causing it to slow down as well as steal your private information.

They are generally used by business travelers, as they are small and light though very expensive. They have an extended battery life and integrated graphics. The other type of notebook is the Sony VAIO FJ76, and Dell XPS M1330 and XPS M1210. Then we have the mainstream notebooks that are more of budget desktops. And if you want desktop power, then you can opt for desktop replacement which can accommodate many performance components.
As far as the processors are concerned you should go for the fastest that your budget will allow. You can opt for Intel`s Centrino that has great speed and also good battery life. Or else you can also go for the economic AMD`s mobile processors whose performance still lags behind Intel. If you intend to watch DVDs on your notebook then go for wide screen ones that offer sharper, larger and great images. The only consideration is that they are not meant for carrying around a lot.
For great system performance it is vital to have enough memory (RAM) that will allow you to run many applications together. Adequate RAM is also essential for image and video editing, graphics work, and 3D gaming. Generally notebooks have a terrible sound quality so it is recommended to use speakers or headphones. These are some of the factors that you need to consider before buying a notebook.
Also keep in mind that like any electronic device, your notebook is vulnerable to accidents as well as system failures. It is recommended to get at least a three year warranty and also some additional insurance.
Health hazards related to using a laptop has been a controversial topic for quite some time. Well though it seems like a silly question, I believe they are minority of them wanting to upgrade.Well Microsoft Vista is a good OS; though as much I prefer Windows XP for customizability.I think it is important that I share these facts so as nobody would make the wrong move before moving to the "Vista ship". Here are some important facts which you need to take note before upgrading your current Operating System of your notebook to Windows Vista.
1 - System Check Download and run "Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor".This software will examine your notebook and will give you a report whether is your notebook capable of meeting's Vista requirement.
2 - Processor Check Your CPU processor must be at least running at a clock speed of 800MHz. For Premium OS models, it must have a 1 GHz minimum requirement.
3 - RAM Check If you think XP consumes a lot of RAM, Vista might be you worst nightmare. Make sure you have the minimum 512 mB installed. 1 GB of RAM is recommended.
4 - Graphics Check To run the beautiful Aero theme, your graphic must support the 64mB VGA Ram. Beware this theme is nice but consumes a lot of memory.
5 - HDD Check Make sure you have enough hard disk space. Vista requires quite an amount of space for its system files, etc. An 80GB hard disk can be served as a minimum requirement.
6 - Optical Drive Check Make sure you have a DVD drive installed. You can forget about Vista if you only have a Combo drive installed only.
