voteHewlett Packard recently introduced its new and innovative multi-touch screen notebook PC that has the capability to navigate content with a system that mimics the iPhone and iPod. This nifty new feature was just introduced as what Hewlett Packard considers to be its first consumer-oriented multi-touch notebook as well as the latest trend in notebook technology.
With the new TouchSmart tx2 technology, you can use your fingers to operate systems for digital media applications that include music, video, and photos, by using a swiping, pinching, or double-tap motion to work with the content and open programs. It can even recognize simultaneous input from multiple fingers using a capacitive multi-touch technology.

The new TouchSmart tx2 is also compatible for use with an array of Windows software and Web applications by integrating hardware with software to create an interface which supports multi-touch interaction.

Although not the first to introduce the TouchSmart tx2 technology as the latest notebook trend, Hewlett Packard has propelled touch innovation into the next generation by providing consumers with a new way to interact with their notebook PC and have made their mark in this trend through their recently established partnership with MTV.

The new partnership will provide TouchSmart tx2 users with access their favorite entertainment from MTV, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon, that can be enjoyed with the use of the new technology. Hewlett Packard also plans to partner with MTV in their venture to create access from Atom, CMT, Game Trailers, Logo, Spike, The N and VH1.

The TouchSmart tx2 technology also sets itself apart from other computer manufacturers by offering more options to the multi-touch system that reach beyond the normal notebook usage in the education and healthcare fields. Touch Smart tx2 technologies will provide the healthcare and education sectors with applications that will help to speed data input which is routinely time consuming with older applications.

The swivel screen with twist hinge included on the TouchSmart tx2 can be used in an upright position like regular notebooks or by laying it flat. It also has a really cool stylus feature that allows you to draw or write on the screen and is capable of converting handwriting to text.

TouchSmart tx2 boasts up to 8 GB of memory storage and a 500GB hard drive. Other features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Webcam, DVD burner, and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics processor.
